I would have thought you could have got the thing to a state where whatever is saved is small, so of no real consequence. If not, another trick might be to download a definition of any old cal kit for the 8753D from the Agilent web site http://na.tm.agilent.com/pna/caldefs/stddefs.html e.g. this file http://na.tm.agilent.com/pna/caldefs/87xx/D53N5F.zip where there will be 3 files (I think). Then over-write the .ck file produced the VNA, leaving the other files untouched from that zip file untouched. Or use Cal Kit Manager 2.1 to write the .ck file, again taking two files from that zip file. I have done this trick to create a file for an 8753D, even though I did not have the instrument. I then sent that file to someone, who was able to read it. Dave |

I probably did try to save the state when a predefined cal kit was used. That gives me only ISTATE(C). However, if I modify that cal kit, give it another name and make another calibration followed by a measurement and save state at that point, the result is ISTATE(CK). The cal kit is saved along. So since the original cal kit was predefined in the machine in the first case it didn't bother to save it of course... Any comments on the first (and more important) question? |
