What model is it? What firmware version? What options does it have? I ask that since TOM calibration appears to be an acronym used by Rohde & Schwarz, but never to my knowledge HP/Agilent/Keysight. I'm afraid to say, there does not appear to be much support for Rohde & Schwarz equipment. Yes they produce some high end VNAs, but when I have tried to obtain support, I've never had much luck. Both sales and tech support enquirers have not been answered. There is a Rohde & Schwarz Yahoo group https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/[hp_agilent_equipment]/info with 576 members, but compared to the HP/Agilent Yahoo group https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/hp_agilent_equipment/info with its 3840 members, the Rohde & Schwarz groups is pretty quite. There have been 4 threads so far this month to the Rohde & Schwarz Yahoo group, compared to 93 on the HP/Agilent one. There are to my knowledge no forums for Rohde & Schwarz. Anyway, +/- 0.8 dB is not acceptable, and if you are just remeasuring the calibration standard, that is an indication of the repeatability of the measurement. But maybe you are not doing that. It does depend on the VNA and cal kit, but I would expect a few hundred of a dB,. not tenths of a dB. At least below 20 GHz. I don't know about if you were working at 100's of GHz or THz frequencies, then perhaps it gets a lot worst - I have no idea. Dave. |
