Open order entry for the LX150 production devices is scheduled late July.  I know there is high demand for the devices and you can expect lead times, but I'm not certain how long.

I also have problems concerning XC6SLX150T-3FGG676C. The Xilinx distributor is unable to give me clear answers concerning availability, lead times and so.
I don't understant how can one announce next generation chips (7 series) if he is unable to launch massive production of current ones.
I would be very happy if some representative would help me plan my project (ie. give me official or approximative delivery dates for the chips).

I totally agree with you. I ordered Spartan-6 in January and they were supposed to be ready in March. In May my order was cancelled and I had to wait until end of June to be allowed to order (!) I then ordered Engineering Samples and my order got cancelled. Now I do not have any solution and I was told I cannot order before end of July.
 
I even received a quote with a delivery date on March 20, 2013! This is not a joke, I have it on my desk. Maybe this is the most realistic offer I received so far...
 
Altough I can understand that a complex chip as the Spartan-6 can be delay, I just cannot understand that Xilinx and their representatives treat their customers this way. Announcing the Series-7 sounds to me like "we don't care about you - we will make money anyway"!

Again, this is why you should always wait until DigiKey and Mouser indicate that they have your needed parts IN STOCK before designing with them!

The main goal is to begin design BEFORE availablity and order in advance, relying on the seriousness of the manufacturer (ie Xilinx).
