i've had a similar problem with my e4403b, it was a 4x prescaler (i replace it with an Hittite prescaler), i think that the e4402 and e4403 have the same board, and i've the CLIP information about my e4403b.

  I'm adding to this old thread to add some info that may be helpful to other looking to repair their E4302/3/4/5/7/8 SA. The uTube video on repairing an E4307B seems to have generated a lot of excitement and has driven up prices on broken E430x series SA's on eBay but having bought a couple of them for my own use, it turns out that the CLIP used in that uTube video and available only matches older units and even that one I've been unable to find a version with a clean copy of the RF bottom board layout and schematic that you can read the text. There have been several revisions of the RF/LO board since that version and the units I have very different circuity and do not use the same devices. Both units I have use an Agilent 1GC1-4210 "Multi-modulus Divider" which Keysight no longer makes available in the correct package for these units (16-pin plastic). There are still some chip surplus houses that have them ranging from about $100 to several hundred dollars. The data sheet for the bare die is available on the Keysight website (but not the pinout for the surface mount plastic package)  but I've been unable to find a suitable, less expensive replacement. As well, after hours of searching, I've been unable to find a more current CLIP with schematics for these later boards. My 4203B board is E4203-60100 and another I have is E4203-60107.
 
Hopefully, some will find the above information useful. Since Keysight appears to have no interest in making the more current CLIP available (or even the old one that's in general circulation), it would be very helpful to many of us if someone could at least make some good copy of the RF board top and bottom layouts and schematics and post them perhaps on the Yahoo site. As well, if someone knows of a replacement for the 1GC1-4210 that's less expensive and maybe a still in production product that would make some of us very grateful as well.
