Even after renaming and clearing cache if this doesn't work then i think there are no other ways to clear it. you only have an option of uninstalling and installing software and  again  configuring license but that is obviously not feasible.-Pratham

Just now tried at my end and it worked at my end.

i just removed the .lic extension from the file and cleared  the cache

Thanks.   I found it.  I ran xinfo, looked in the file and saw that it was somehow picking up
the license from the original direcoty I saved it to.  Even though a copy was placed in
 a different location when I ran the license manager to install it.  Once I renamed that
copy, everything was cleaned up in the license manager.
