I can't believe there is any good technical reason ECal can't be supported at least for S11 measurements. The firmware in my HP 8720D and 8753ES both support ECal, so if it can be done in them, I am sure it could be done in a FieldFox. 

Maybe S21 measurements would need a bit more effort, as there's no phase information on S21 with the N9912A. But apart from that minor complication, I would have expected the code to be identical to what there is on the other FieldFoxes.

  The Cal Engine in the N9912A FieldFox is different than the Cal Engine in all the other FieldFox models. If you notice, N9912A's QuickCal has a nice GUI with guided images,etc. The other models do not have this. N9912A is meant to be for basic measurements. The only real cal you can do with it is the OSL cal, so using an ECal module saves you two connections (1 vs 3). I agree that it would be nice to have it, but we have not implemented it yet.   You could probably send emails to customers you sold N9912A to see if is something they will want. I bet even if they dont have currently an Ecal they will say go for it and will be happy to have it and maybe after they will even buy lots of Ecals. 
As you advertize the Fieldfox perform almost like bench instruments some users may want to get an Ecal for it.
