The first 4 Bytes configured successfully, but the rest all remain at zero. I now can't configure the rest of the key in the device, as a seperate forum post informs that impact doesn't support this. We have used the Spartan 6 with EFUSE encryption in other projects without a problem, so we're quite surprised to have encountered this. Because we only have a limited number of prototype boards, I would like to understand what might have caused this before trying to configure another board. I re-visited the design and re-checked everything. It turned out that the wrong value of R resistor was populated on the RFUSE pin; 1k4 instead of 1k14. This is much higher than the +/- one percent tolerance stated in the DC and Switching characteristics user guide. I ordered the correct value of resistor, fitted it to one of the "unblown" boards and tried again today. Everything working successfully. I'm going to mark this reply as the solution. If somebody else were to ever have a partially configured encryption eFuse key in the future, then this post may well help them out. Many thanks once again for the kind suggestions you put forwards; I'm glad that this was all down to a simple resistor value that can be easily rectified! Cheers, Pete.
