Starting with Vivado 2014.1, freely available 64-bit Centos Linux versions 6.4 and 6.5 are supported.  
 
I use all of the tools, including the USB to JTAG converter with the Hardware Manager.  About the only thing you have to use the command line for is to install the necessary prerequisite Linux packages that the cable drivers need.  Though probably even that can be done through a Linux GUI, but I have not tried.  The Documentation Navigator also requires a few extra Linux packages to get working, but otherwise the installation and usage of the Linux version of Vivado on Centos is straightforward.
 
You will find several people here who will help you with a Linux installation if you have problems.  The 2014.2 version of Vivado is supposed to be out this week.

We would definitely recommend thst you use the supported versions of the OS only as all the regression suites of different processses are checked with supported OS VERSIONS only. Here is the list in 2014.1 for you.
 
Linux Support
• Red Hat Enterprise Workstation 5.8 - 5.10 (32-bit and 64-bit)
• Red Hat Enterprise Workstation 6.4 - 6.5 (32-bit and 64-bit)
• SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 (32-bit and 64-bit)
