PNA如何替换文件？

  OK, here's what I think is going on. The file PNA application and proxy files dates match up, so that's not the issue.  I did a clean install of the PNA application on the PNA, and a clean install of the proxy on my PC.  

What I see is that the 835x.tlb is missing the latest interfaces.  For example, in my VS 2012 IDE, using the object browser, I can see the AgilentPNA835x.dll has, for example, these interfaces, IChannels3, IPowerSensor2, and IPowerSensors. 

However, using the object browser's custom component set feature, I can see that 835x.tlb is missing these interfaces.   I'm definitely not looking at an old version of the 835x.tlb file--it is the one installed by the PNAProxy.exe installer.


Somehow the AgilentPNA835x.dll and the 835x.tlb are out of sync.  Can someone at Keysight please confirm?  Perhaps the 835x.tlb was not updated when it should have been?  I understand the version I'm using, previously mentioned in my original post above, is a customer release?  Could you also please explain exactly what customer release means? 

How can I resolve this problem?

  When you are not seeing IChannels3, IPowerSensor2, and IPowerSensors - that makes me believe that the "custom component set" is hiding these interfaces from you. Instead, it is showing you the "coclass" name which is Channels, PowerSensor, PowerSensors.

Basically, the most recent interface is always a synonym to the interface of the coclass... so, it may be that the browser is suppressing these interfaces - even though the interfaces do exist.

For viewing the 835x.tlb file, you can use the native tool: oleview.exe... that will give you a very image of what is in the 835x.tlb. 

So, I think this particular symptom is not actually representing a problem. To confirm, I'd like to try the "custom component set feature".... how do I get to this from within Visual Studio? I don't have VS2012 installed on my system, but I do have VS2013 and VS2010...

  Hi johan,

"Edit custom component set" let's you filter the object browser.  In the object browser, at the top left where is says, "Browse:," pull down the list and at the bottom you should see "Edit custom component set."  In the COM tab, find the "Agilent PNA Series 1.9 Type Library," then click the "Add" button and click OK.   The OB will now show only the selected component. (the COM component returned by doing this is the 835x.tlb)

P.S. using the OLE viewer, I can see all the missing interfaces.  But If I try to use IPowerSensor2, I get an "Interface not supported" error from the PNA.
