Today I thought I might install the Demo Licence option to have a look at the serial decode functionality but after installing the 30 Day demo licence I find that I have a couple of very odd problems which weren't there previously. 1. Channel 1 is no longer available as a trigger source in any trigger setting option. This had been fine before the 30-day trial licence was installed so my guess is that it is due to the increased number of trigger options in the drop down menu perhaps exceeding the display ability. This theory seems to be confirmed by using the BenchView program where in the Instrument Settings tab I have Channel 1 as a trigger option. 2. Selecting USB as a trigger type, the options for D+ or D- have Channel 1 grayed out. Channel 2 is available as are the D1-12 etc. This is possibly connected to the problem above? I have attached photo's that demonstrate this as it isn't possible to use the screen capture facility to display open menu's as far as I have been able to ascertain. Our trigger circuitry can be programmed in a single- or dual-threshold mode for a given channel, but not both simultaneously. Is the active serial decode in your screenshots either of these modes? If so, try turning off serial decode or switching to a different decode mode and see if channel 1 returns as a selectable trigger source. Thanks, --Chris

I had Ch1 connected to the D+ line and Ch2 to the D- line. I had been doing some testing on USB triggering before doing the Demo install so I know that it was OK. It was even still connected up to the USB break-out box while I installed the Demo's hence my surprise that this had happened. As you can see in the first picture when trying to select the D+ source channel 1 is actually greyed out, and in picture 2 when attempting to set it as the trigger source, which I needed to do to trigger on SOP, channel 1 isn't even showing up in the source drop down box. As for serial decodes, I hadn't got around to setting anything up in there and had not selected the Serial button. Regards, Chris
