But the pulse generator is controlled independently from channel to channel, so you can add a "dummy" second channel that has the pulse generator set to off and then it will be swept after the first channel if you are in normal (global) triggered mode. For the most part the data acquision is deterministic, but there can be some non-deterministic things that occur during a sweep (like when we switch across source double bands) and so the exact time of a sweep is not necessary the same sweep to sweep. But the pulse generator timing is exact all the time (it is derived from a lower level FPGA pulse generator that doesn't know or care about the windows operating system). I'm curious, what is your DUT and why do you care about the exact number of pulses? |
