Hello,
I'm having a simmilar problem with an Agilent 34972A Data Logger. It does not take an IP with DHCP enabled. It used to create problems every now and then, but lately it doesn't take an IP at all. I tried to have it manualy configured, but still not reachable through the network.
Yesterday we decided to have a firmware update, and after we did it, it took the DHCP assigned IP "instantly". Today, when we powered up the instrument, it would not take IP again. So we connected to it's internal page with the IE, and after we did that, it worked again.
What can be the problem? It's not funny to request every day admin rights to change the IP of the computer, change the cables to crossover ones, to be able to connect directly to the instrument's page, in order to make it work.
I mention that the network has only switches, so it should be no problem.
