Hi -
The VM3608 from VTI is a message based device that plugs onto the VTI VMIP carrier.
The E1406A can communicate with message based devices, however, the VMIP carrier creates successive bus addresses and the E1406A wants addresses that are divisible by eight.
To get around the address conflict, a Hierarchy table must be downloaded into the E1406A.
I've attached the E1406A manual pages on this plus a VEE example.
