  Hi Scott,

            I think you’ll find that panel drivers are a thing of the past.  You may have some luck loading up the panel drivers for the hp83620a or hp83640a (both .cid files available with vee install), however they certainly won’t help with regard to some of the more modern features of your E8257.  I believe the E8257 is backwards compatible with the 836XX family of sources.

            I note that there is a tab for “programming examples” listed under E8257 on Agilent’s main web page.  I also found this SCPI programming summary:
