However you mention that it fails more often now. My suggestion would be to attempt the firmware reload. The only method for installing the firmware is the instruction set you pointed to, which is to load the firmware from a flash drive, using the front panel menus. I understand that the system may hang and it is true that the system could become inoperable if this happens during the firmware installation. However, because you've stated the unit is under warranty, you don't have anything to lose. If the firmware installation works, fantastic. Nevertheless the problem is NOT solved. Even with the most recent firmware update the unit hangs regularly and it is unusable.
