MPLAB X v3.40不再记得窗口窗格排列

    For a long time, v3.40 has nicely preserved and restored its IDE window pane arrangements. When I launch MPLAB X, it arranges the windows exactly the same as when it last shut down. Now, for some reason, that has stopped.

I like the basic arrangement shown on page 82 of the v3.40 user manual... the right part of the screen is divided between the editor pane (on top) and the task pane (on bottom), with no "title bar" on either one to waste space. But now, every time I start, the task pane is just another tab in a pane it shares with the editor. "Output", for example, is just another tab along the top with the names of the source files I'm editing.

I can fiddle around with the panes and eventually restore things to normal, but they're not preserved across re-launches. I have to do it Every. Single. Time. It is not really workable to choose to view ONLY the editor OR the task pane; it makes single stepping almost useless because you can't watch variables, etc. So I'm forced to rearrange the panes, only to have to do it again next time. And again next time. And again next time. You get the idea.

None of this was true until a day or so ago. Everything was preserved and restored. I don't know why this behavior changed, but I want to go back!

I've searched the user's manual but can't find anything specific about telling MPLAB X to preserve pane arrangement. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd be most appreciative. Admittedly a minor issue, but it's amazing how distracting a little thing like this can be.
