If you have a 1G card of PC connected to a FPGA board through cable , then link will get stablished and should show the link status in PC also.
 
Is it happening ? what is meant by the term you are referring to "Active"?

我在我的电脑上有1GNetwork卡PLANET ENW-9701千兆光纤适配器。
我也有KC705评估板。
KC705板上有一些SFP。
我想通过光纤电缆从网卡到FPGA发送和接收这两个SFP的数据包数据，反之亦然。

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I've a 1G Network card   PLANET ENW-9701 Gigabit Fiber Adapter  On my PC. 
 
 I've a KC705 evaluation board too. There are some SFPs on KC705 board. I want to send and recieve packet data with this two SFPs through Optical fiber cable from network card to FPGA and vice versa .
 
To achieve this goal in FPGA I should program it with an ethernet protocol.
 
Now, I generated a protocol 1000BASE-X on FPGA. without Auto Negotitaion and MDIO. when I connect this two SFPs together with optical fiber cable,  there is no link between them because the ENW-9701 LED is off. and in netwrok connections folder about ENW-9701 show me Network Cable Unplugged.
 
 
what is meant by the term you are referring to "Active"?
 
When I generate protocol 1000BASE-X IP core it is optional to have MDIO and Auto Neotiation. As you can see here.

about "ACTIVE" I mean Should I select them or no?

The selection of MDIO and Auto negotiation depends on your application.
 
If you want to have MDIO register access then you have to enable the MDIO interface and the Auto negotiation should be enabled if this feature is required.
 
If you don't want to access the MDIO registers in the PCS layer and have fixed configuration  then you can disable both of them.

Hello,
I know that, But please guide me to have a connection with a network card, is it mportant to active auto negotiation or no?
Now when I connect network card to my fpga with sfp through optcal fiber cable it shows me no link (It means they don't negotiaite each other)and now I'm trying to debug it. So,check the importance of activation of Auto Negotiation is one of the element to debug this problem.
