This means that if you select your device in vivado and you cannot find the IP, then the part you are targeting is not supported for this IP: So the Zybo Z7-20 (and more globally the xc7z020clg400-1 ) has no support for the HDMI IP. The actual reason for this is because the HDMI IP is using Gigabit Transceivers and this part (xc7z020clg400-1 - as any other current Z-7020), does not have any transceivers. You can see this in the product table when selecting the part in vivado: With that said, you can still have a HDMI input on your Zybo Z7-20 because this board as an ADV7611 which allows you to do HDMI RX 1.4a (up to 1080p I think) and you do not need the HDMI IP to use it. It acts like if you add DVI inputs (so you would have data, hsync and vsync signal as inputs and you would only need the video in to AXI4S and the Video Timing controller as IPs which are free). However their cores seem to block the audio data in the HDMI stream, whereas the Xilinx HDMI core can extract the audio data and output it as I2S. Since it doesn't work with my board I'll try and figure out another way to do it, or maybe get a compatible board if I can't get it to work. |
