Is it possible that the USB port or cable could be intermittent or defective? Does Connection Expert recognize other instruments on the PC that is not recognizing the 34410? I checked the conflict with VISA Conflict Manager. Only agilent VISA installed. Concerning the cable, it is the same that I used for both PC. Windows seems to recognise the instrument as it installed the associated driver. I do not have another Equipment that I could use but it is working with the other PC so DMMconfiguration sounds ok. I'd like to get clarification on one thing -- is the DMM showing up in Connection Expert but not in BenchVue, or is it not showing up in Connection Expert either? If it's not showing up in Connection Expert, then it's an IO Library issue. If it shows up there but BenchVue can't see it, it's a BenchVue issue. One thing you might check is the USB status in the Windows Device Manager. If you see any yellow caution flags on that port, that could be the cause.
