You have +53 dBm from your amplifier, and the isolation is 50 dB between antennas, so max power into port 2 will be +3 dBm. The max operational input for PNA is about +13 dBm (I recommend to keep it to +10 dBm). For you initial tests, I might recommend adding a 30 dB pad to the port 2 input to ensure less than +30 dBm in the worst case that you accidentally hook port 1 to port 2. But after you are sure connections are correct and power levels are correct at the port 2, you can remove the pad. Do you require the amplifier be pulsed? If so, use 008 to setup the pulsed measurement. You will need to pad down the R-channel input (be sure to use Path Configuration Dialog to set the R-channel to the external path) to have less than -5 dBm applied to the R-channel external input. Will you be doing swept freq measurements, or near field, or RCS? I'm not an expert on RCS, so can't really help you with the details of that aspect. If you need more help setting up the measurements, I recommend contacting your local Keysight application engineer. Sometimes setting up complicated measurements is a little difficult to do over email or the Forum. |
