HP 8752C Source&Option 003可用性?

您好,我刚购买了8752C,没有选项。
这是我的第一个VNA,我非常满意。
我的装置昨天已经开启了好几个小时,它突然随机开始产生锁相丢失错误。
今天早上我把它打开了,没有任何错误了。
我一直在这个论坛上阅读有关此错误的问题,我看到其中有不少这些。
我的问题是,如果事情变得更糟,我还能从安捷伦购买源(A3)模块吗?
我还想知道我是否仍然可以从安捷伦购买选件003?

I've just purchased a 8752C with no options. It's my first VNA and I'm tremendously happy with it. My unit has been turned on for many hours yesterday and it suddenly and randomly started to generate phase lock lost errors. I've turned it on this morning and there were no errors anymore. I've been reading on this forum about issues with this error and I see there has been quite a few of these.  

My question about this is that if matters turn to worse can I still purchase the source (A3) module from Agilent? I would also like to know if I can still buy option 003 from Agilent?

  I doubt you can buy any of those bits, as it is well out of support, but if you can find the part numbers, then you can use parts.agilent.com to look up the availability and price. Even if the board is available, I suspect it would cost far more than you paid for the 8752C. Agilent stuff is good, but prices are generally not in the hobbyist range. 

You could try asking on the HP/Agilent Yahoo group, as there is a good chance someone on there will know about such an issue. 

Please note I don't work for Agilent.

我检查了零件网站,当我在11885A(003选项)上搜索时,我确实得到了这个选项的命中,但我没有看到任何硬件。
我找到的只是一些标签标签和一张软盘。

Thanks for the input. I did check the parts website and when I do a search on 11885A (003 option) I do get a hit for this option but I don't see any hardware. All I find are some label tags and a floppy disk. It would be nice if someone from Agilent could clear this up for me?

  The source phase lock depends upon knowing roughly the frequency of the internal oscillators and they will drift with time, or possibly a component is aging when warm and so when you first turn it on it is OK but then drifts out of range.  

There are a series of service tests that allow the system to self calibrate but it has been years and years (that unit is likely 20 years old) since I did the procedure.  I used to have them all memorized.

To run the service tests you will have to move an eeprom protection jumper that will allow the results to be stored.

The main ones are the source phase lock pretest and the source phase lock calibration.

The pretest sets defaults values, that are used by the phase lock calibration to hone-in on the final values.

You might also try turning spur-avoidance off.  If the spur avoidance off makes phase lock problems go away, then it might be the spur avoidance adjustment is off.  Since spur avoidance depends on a lot of things, it can come on randomly as the unit heats and cause the phase lock to have trouble.

You'll have to google for service test documents; I don't know where any are right off the top of my head.

Thanks very much for your reply. I've had a hard time finding out how to turn the spur-avoidance off but I found a little page hidden somewhere on the Agilent website where this setting was mentioned. The command is SM8[ON | OFF] and I've entered it using the interactive IO tool within the IO library suite. I was not able to find this setting in the user, service or programming manual. I'll first run this test today. I don't know how long it's going to take. The first time it happened the analyzer had been turned on for almost a day and even then it only generated the error sporadically only for a second or so and then going back to locking the phase again. I did run the a service test routine for the phase lock but it could not detect any problem. I've also run the confidence test routines but all these tests also passed without problems.

If this test passes successfully I'll just leave it for what it is, if it don't, I will try to run the phase pretests and cal routines. 

I am planning on sending this unit in to Agilent for calibration. And I would like to know, before I make any modifications myself, if all these settings are corrected during the calibration procedure? If they do I'll just send it in.

Could you also tell me how to store the setting for the spur-avoidance?
