I recently put back in service a 34970A that I hadn't used in a year or so. I'm using a new computer and have downloaded the newest version of Benchlink software. I'm having a couple issues. One I already asked about in another post, which is that I keep get
ting a 741 error code every time I turn the unit on. Another is that the unit fails the self test procedure. Third is that the Benchlink program does not recognize that the 34970A is connected. I tried the "find" function and it didn't find it. It's set for RS-232 connection with a baud rate of 9600.
When I disconnected this unit a year ago it was working and communicating fine with the other computer running on a previous version of Benchlink.
When I click on help it tells me to go to the connection expert that is on the CD that came with the unit, but my CD will no longer run because it's so old.
Any ideas?
