Download Matlab at http://milne.ruc.dk/base/matlab65.zip If you want to run Matlab outside RUC’s network, you have to ad this address “130.225.220.19 fatou ” in the hosts file. 1) Browse to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories 2) Right click "Notepad" and select "Run as administrator" 3) Click "Continue" on the UAC prompt 4) Click File -> Open 5) Browse to "C:WindowsSystem32Driversetc" 6) Change the file filter drop down box from "Text Documents (.txt)" to "All Files (.*)" 7) Select "hosts" and click "Open" 8) add “”130.225.220.19 fatou”” without the quotation marks in new line, close Notepad Save when prompted. Extract matlab zip file to C: Browse to C:Matlab65 right click on Matlab65 -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Set a mark in “run this program in Compatibility mode for:”from the drop down box choose “”“windows xp (service pack 2)”” -> Apply. Browse to C:Matlab65 right click on Matlab65 -> Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut) Run program from desktop. 0
