I am feeding multiple color alarms from an array of REAL64s.  I am trying to
restrict the number of significant digits on the display to four.  I tried
changing the properties in the number tab for the color alarm with no
effect.  Is there a way to limit the significant digits to 4 ?

I will not communicate with an GPIB Instrument. I will communicate with
a Computer/Programm.

There is an ActiveX tool available on the web.  Search for "SocketWrench".
This provides TCI/IP use through sockets.

It may not handle lower level TCP/IP.

You're sending the real value into a text input so the number
formatting does not apply. Number formatting would apply to the digital
display (the Data input).

To get what you want insert a TO STRING object between the REAL 64
and the Color Alarm and set formatting as you like
