  Seppo,

does your vee file try to contact any other file (like a picture) which was
originally on a different drive? This kind of halting seems to come from the
operating system when trying to access a file over a network connection -
perhaps using a UNC file name and the server name changed for your local pc.

  Hi all

Can anyone help me with this problem.

When opening vxe (or vee) file it sometimes waits for about 20-30seconds.
After that it runs normally. No error messages whatsoever. The window opens
at once but the bar indicating loading stops at about 100% and nothing
happens. It does not happen every time you open this file and there is not
anything wrong with vee files. Files have worked fine with our old PC.

The problem started when we moved files to new computer. Old was AST 233MMX
laptop and new one is Compaq Armada E500 1000MHz laptop. We use Ines
GPIB-card. We tried new BIOS for computer, no affect. Taskinfo program
shows minimal vee loading at the time of halting. Compaq support does not
have any knowledge about this kind of halting.

How should I proceed?
