The one issue might be when turn correction off: normally correction is applied on a trace-by-trace basis so you can have it on for one trace and off for another for the same parameter and see the chagne. BUT, if you are using remote commands, it might be that you are still pulling corrected data. Two sure ways to get uncorrected data: 1) Go to the Calset Manager and UNSELECT the calset for the channel you are using and then press "CLOSE" (NOT OK). pressing OK just selects the highlight calset again. 2) Turn off cal on a trace and pull the data from THAT trace. make sure to use Calc:Par:Sel to select the propor trace. You can look at the data you pull back (just the first point or two) and ensure that it is both complex (two values) and in Re, Im format, and that it matches the raw data from the analyzer (put the trace with Cor off in a polar format and look at the marker). IF the values are the same, then check your math. I've done this lots, always works. |

The data I get are definitely uncorrected and my math should be right as my waveform is very close to the corrected one. At this point I think the the error terms I get are truncated as I transfer in ASCII format. I am trying to get it to work in REAL,64. Never done it so need to figure out how to do it (I use labview). Is my assumption correct and wiill REAL,64 format give me the exact value used internally in the PNA? Thanks Jeremie |
