But before I changed those NVRAMs, I have extraced the content of all NVRAMs by the undocumented MREAD command to make sure to have a backup. That I also recommend to you, especially for the content of the 2kB CAL RAM. The 32kB Rams are not important, because there only setup data is stored, and user defined functions. If data corruption would occur (which I don't belive), you could desolder the RAM, reprogram it on an eprommer with the new battery in place. Frank |

So no real worries any longer to replace yourself these batteries every 10 years and avoid unnecessary return to factory for full calibration session. If you replace the batteries in a diligent manner on a SMD board - it will work out smoothly ! Best regards, Homer |
