Sounds like a file size limit due to drive formatting.  I think that the preferred drive format is NTFS as there is still a 4 GB limit in FAT32.

If the target drive format (e.g. FAT32) is the problem, then you should be able to save the download file to a USB flash drive which is formatted to NTFS.  This might avoid the need to re-format your hard drive.  You can unpack the archive (.ZIP?) file to your normal hard drive, as the individual files in the archive should present no problems to FAT32 drives.

I neglected to tell you that I have downloaded many versions of ISE before without any difficulties.  The file system is NTFS.  By now, our IT group is a little perplexed.  I think the problem is definitely on my end, because I tried to download with Firefox and received the same results, stopping at exactly 2.0GB.  Can you give me any thoughts to help our IT group :)  Personally I think we have some kind of built in limitation that was recently imposed by members of our IT group to stop downloading of video and other content...  Many thanks.

Or download it at home and bring it to the office on a USB thumb drive.
Or ask anyone else with an internet connection to download it for you...
