PNA-X Power和Attenuators对话框组合框不会下拉

  A screenshot of that display would be helpful.  AutoRange needs to be unchecked in order to be able to set the Src Atten manually.
I am not sure why the state selection is not working...boxes with only one source, we previously did not show the state selection because it was not useful...but I think we do now. 

What options are on the two boxes?  specifically the 4xx and 2xx options.

Can you try newer firmware such as 9.42.xx or 9.80.xx?

  I've attached the screenshot. I was mistaken about the Source Atten. For some reason I thought it was a combobox, but it's actually an up/down control, and it does work correctly.

The State combobox for Port 1 is selected, and the down arrow clicked. You can see the black outline. The settings of the Power On Port Powers Coupled check boxes don't effect the State combobox.

I'm not sure what you mean by the 4xx and 2xx options. We will eventually upgrade our PNA-X's to the latest production release, but prefer not doing that until we test the new firmware with our software.

  OK, I was confused about the Source Atten issue.  One problem down; one to go.

On the PNA,click on Help, About Network Analyzer.
A list of all the options will be displayed.  Let me know of any options that starts with the number 2 or 4. (I do not care about option 460, if you have that)

And let me know the options for *each* box...the one that works and the one that does not....make sure you indicate which set of options is for each unit.

  The options on both the good and bad PNA-X's with fw A.09.33.13 are:
400, 419, and 423. The only difference between the two PNA-X's are the Hard Disk Drive version, S.12.10.11 and the bad one, S.11.00.01 on the good one. I looked on some of our other PNA-X's, and at least one with the same Hard Disk Version as the bad PNA-X does work correctly.

  Well, that is just strange!  I really doubt the HDD revision would make any difference.  I will ask around tomorrow, but many people are already starting to take an early holiday.
I could suggest performing a recovery that will return your PNA back to its factory shipped condition, but I realize that may be a pain...so don't do anything yet until I research this a bit more.

  I gotta say, we are stumped by this issue. Nothing in our code (that we know of) would cause this, so we think it could be a Windows issue.
Here are my suggestions in order of complexity.

1.  Reboot the PNA, although I assume this has already been done.
2.  Uninstall the firmware using Add/Remove Programs and then reinstall the same version again.
3.  Try installing new firmware.  The version you have now is relatively old anyway
4.  Perform a recovery.  You will lose all data on the C drive so back up what you need to the D drive first.
5.  Request a new Hard Drive.  If nothing else works, I can send you a new drive to see if that works.
6.  Upgrade to Windows 7...unfortunately, this will not be a choice for another 2 months or so...and you will need the latest CPU  board if you don't already have it.  If you already have the latest CPU and want to be a Win 7 Guinea pig for us, let me know.

  I have the problem with the PNA-X, firmware version A.09.33.13, ComboBox in the Power and Attenuators dialog not dropping down fixed. The problem was an obscure windows display setting, DPI Setting, found at Right click desktop/Setting/Advanced/General. On a PNA-X with the ComboBox working properly, the DPI setting was “Large size (120 DPI).”  The half dozen other PNA-X’s I looked at had that LARGE setting. On the PNA-X with the ComboBox not dropping down, the DPI setting was “Normal size (96 DPI).” When I changed this DPI setting to Large size,  the ComboBoxes on the Power and Attenuators dialog box worked properly. Apparently, that dialog box was just at the edge of working properly. 

I then went to another PNA-X, set to large and whose combo boxes were working properly, and set the DPI to Normal. After rebooting, the dialog boxes in the second also PNA-X didn’t drop down. After restoring the DPI to Large and rebooting, the combo boxes again worked properly. So for this one dialog, the DPI needs to be set to Large. All other combo boxes in other dialogs worked correctly for both DPI settings.

Also, before finding the DPI setting, I upgraded the PNA-X firmware to the latest production release, A.09.80.20. This also fixed the problem, even though I had tried that before, unsuccessfully. I don’t know what the difference this time was, but it may be some marginal dialog box setting. While A.09.80.20 was installed, I looked at the Cal Wizard dialog boxes and saw there were some differences from A.09.33.13, so to prevent confusion until I can go through the .80 version dialogs, I returned the PNA-X to A.09.33.13.

  I would not have expected that, but thanks for the investigation and explanation. 

We use 120DPI to make things more easily readable and selectable when using the touch screen.
Perhaps someone created a new user and did not apply our "Agilent Theme" to the new user....although I am not user if the DPI value is settable that way.

With the wrong DPI setting, the softkeys would most likely also be misaligned.

I will forward this to our Windows User Interface guru to see if he has any ideas.

  As a follow up, besides setting the PNA to 120 DPI, you should apply the Agilent Theme.
We have thoughtfully hidden this file in *C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorsMy Documents*

It is called *Agilent PNA.Theme*

For the C models (Only!) with the smaller display, use the theme *Kona NPI Theme.Theme*

  I was hoping that this was a fix for my similar problem. I only see this box in the PNA application, but not in the NVNA application. My display was set to Normal, and I switched it 120 DPI. It did not fix my problem. It sure would be nice to have this display in the NVNA app.
