The data transfer has to be peer to peer but there can be more than one set of modules active at the same time in one room. So I would need to pair two RN4871 modules in production before assembling them in the unit to make sure it remains P2P communication without any cross talk. In production, I can use a computer serial terminal to pair two modules but once assembled inside the unit, the modules would communicate with PIC18F via UART on each node. Can someone please advise me about how to pair two modules together for such application? How can I read MAC address of both modules that I want to pair together and how to configure one module to pair with the MAC address of the other module? Once paired, would these module connect automatically when powered up? Would it be visible to any other nearby Bluetooth devices search by any smart phones / PC?
