UART程序U1TX引脚没有改变

    Hi,
I'm trying to get into PIC24 programming. I have some experience with AVR ATmegas.
What I'm trying to do is to write a simple program that continually outputs a string through the UART and I'd then like to see (eg using an oscilloscope) the U1TX pin to change, but I see ... nothing.
I have attached my program.
I can see a 4MHz clock on CLKO (Pin 10 of my PIC24FJ64GA002), but the U1TX pin (Pin 6) does not change.
I don't care about baud rate or anything, it's just that once I get some output, I can play around with registers and see how things change.
Can anyone please help me to get this running? I usually can walk once someone has put me onto my feet ;-)
