I left out a not gate in my design. I put female headers in the circuit so i can program the Pic in the circuit. Shortly after programming and running, when I removed the Pickit3, the circuit no longer operated correctly. I was getting weird voltages and my LED was very dim instead of being bright. I then began removing wires from the Pickit3 and it worked with every wire removed but the VDD and GND from the Pickit3. So I began to check continuity of GND and power in my circuit. The circuits continuity is fine. I shortly after realized that the Pickit3 doesn't even have to be plugged in and the circuit will work great when the VDD and GND is connected from the Pickit3 to the female headers on my circuit. I have no guess of what is going on here. Everything was running fine till I programmed the microchip in the soldered circuit. If you have any ideas please let me know. I have posted pictures to show you what I mean. The pictures show that when the the Pickit3 is plugged in the LED turns on. When the Pickit3 is not plugged in, the LED is dim.
