Are the coefficients for the 85056A not in the firmware of the 8722ES? According to http://na.support.keysight.com/pna/caldefs/stddefs.html they are. Assuming they are in the firmware, you just need to select them. I have an 8720D, which is the older / lower frequency version of the 8722ES. But my 8720D has the latest CPU, which means it runs the same firmware as an 8720ES would. I looked in the firmware of my 8720D, and see the 2.4 mm 85056 listed. I suspect it probably even defaults to that kit on an 8722, but on my 8720D it defaults to the 85052 3.5 mm kit. So in essence, I don't think you need to worry about any disk at all. The coefficients should be in your firmware. Dave |

You're right that the 8722 has preset cal coefficients in it's firmware. Maybe I'm over complicating things, but I would have thought that the offsets for each kit were different and hence I'd have to modify the stored values for a different 85056A? Maybe I'm wrong and they're manufactured/toleranced to all be in a specific range? The older 8510 didn't have the firmware feature hence the disk, so I'd been trying to read them back to compare them. Sounds like I might not need to do that, so thanks again. Cheers, Chris. |
