If the IFBW is low at this initialization, or channel averaging is set above 1, it will affect the time. 2) the OSL averaging used in the calpod control. You can be the judge of the averaging needed but my guideline would be: a) if the loss from the test port to the calpod is less than 10 dB, no averaging is needed b) if the loss is from 10-16 dB, and the frequency is below 18 GHz, no averaging is needed; if the freq is above 18 GHz, use 2 averages c) if the loss is greater than 16, use 2 averages below 18 GHz, 4 averages above. d) if the loss is greater than about 20 dB, you need to individually investigate what is needed to get good results. |
