The 33522B serves as the master (1 output used) and the 33622A is the slave (two outputs are used). Please follow the video instructions for connecting the clocks -- you can either use one unit to be the Master clock or you can use an external 10 MHz reference. All three generators should have the designated phase reference when they are all externally triggered in infinite burst mode. The most common problem I come across is that one of the units has already started its infinite burst -- usually because the infinite burst is started and then the trigger source is set to external, but sometimes it can be that the generator sees a spike on the trigger input while the connections are being made. If your oscilloscope is set to trigger on the "other" unit, it may seem like both generators are off, but really your oscilloscope isn't showing you that one unit is actually running while the other is waiting for the trigger. When the second unit finally does get a trigger, the oscilloscope is also triggered and shows you both channels and it seems like they started up randomly. Try checking that both units are waiting for the trigger or switch the trigger source on the scope to make sure both units are actually waiting. Best Regards, Cheryl |
