    The driver isn't signed, so it won't install on Windows 10 without jumping through hoops.  It will install on an older version of Windows if you have it.  This is what I did to get it to install:

• In an administrator shell, do: shutdown /r /o /f /t 00
  
• Click the "OK" button
  
• System will restart to a "Choose an option" screen
  
• Select "Troubleshoot"
  
• Select "Advanced options"
  
• Select "Windows Startup Settings"
  
• Click "Restart" button
  
• System will restart to "Advanced Boot Options" screen
  
• Select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement"
  

When installing the driver, click the parent directory, not the amd64
directory:
Wireless Development StudioDriver and InfZENA Wireless Adapter 2.4 GHz MRF24J40
 
And I've found that some of the major Windows updates will uninstall the driver, forcing you to go through all that nonsense again.

I have followed your instructions, and have Disabled Driver Signature Enforcement.
But to no avail; no New found Hardware Wizard appears when I insert the Zena, nor
anything else inviting me to install drivers.  Everything seems to be same as before.

   "There are no compatible drivers for this device",

    Hello,
After much time and effort I have managed to install the drivers.
Here is the complete procedure; it incorporates info from replies above, plus info from other forum posts.
I hope that putting it all in one post reply will help others.
 
HOW TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS FOR ZENA WIRELESS ADAPTER
 
First, you must install the Wireless Development System, as that tool has the required drivers.
It places the driver file at:
   C:Program Files (x86)MicrochipWireless Development StudioDriver and InfZENA Wireless Adapter 2.4 GHz MRF24J40
     and the filename is:   ZENA Adapter 2.4GHz MRF24J40 .inf

Second, the driver isn't signed, so it won't install on Windows 10 without jumping through hoops.
It will install on an older version of Windows if you have it.
This is what to do to get it to install on Windows 10:
    In an administrator command shell, enter: shutdown /r /o /f /t 00
    Click the "OK" button
    System will restart to a "Choose an option" screen

Open Device Manager,
   this is found under Start -> Computer Management, then select Device Manager.

Plug in the ZENA adapter,
    it should appear under Other Devices.
Double click on it.
Select Update Drivers,
  then select "Browse my computer for driver software"
  Browse to:
     C:Program Files (x86)MicrochipWireless Development StudioDriver and InfZENA Wireless Adapter 2.4 GHz MRF24J40
          (Do not select the amd64 or i386 folders)
     and OK.      
A warning will appear; select Install anyway.
Device Status should now say:   Device is working properly.
         
Some of the major Windows updates will uninstall the driver, forcing you to go through all that nonsense again.
