in the Microsoft Visual Studio a free component called WINDIFF is included that does the job. If you do not have VS look for windiff at google.

   To know if two files are "exactly" the same you can use some editor like Ultraedit or any other equivalent. The problem is that it is valid for two files that are "exactly" the same. But, if you have a VEE file and you cut/paste one object or you change the place of some object and you save it, obviously you will have the same "functionality" between old and new file and they are "more or less" the same, but it will be differences between them. Even maybe their vxe files could be the "exactly" same (I think that in some cases the answer is "no" but I don't know). Then, take care about "possible" differences between VEE files. It could be a good feature for next VEE versions: to show differences between files.
