I did the same thing to the Lenovo laptop. but the 3rd line under Compiler Toolchain, "License: Workstation -PRO --Press for Status", never showed up, as if the PRO compiler wasn't installed. i even went far to uninstall MPLAB X IDE 4.20, delete its related folders, reboot the laptop, reinstall MPLAB X IDE 4.20, and reinstall the PRO compiler per the above same steps. but for whatever reason the PRO compiler and MPLAB X IDE 4.20 are not tied together. USB driver or/and USB HW issue? How am I trouble shooting this issue? Your help is greatly appreciated.
