For 2 days I'm trying to install an IOtech Personal488 PCI GPIB card, which
gives me lot of problems. I still haven't got it installed. But this is a
PCI card.
I have no idea what the PCMCIA will do.
Do you have any experience with this PCI GPIB card??

Do you have some information of using IOtech Personal488 PCI GPIB card
within
Vee 6.0?

I've already tried to install it with the NI drivers, and the NI VISA, but I
can't install it!

With the IOtech drivers I can, but when I want to use it in VEE next problem
occurres:
Just for testing I've connected a HP34401A MultiMeter to the GPIB card.
When I want to load the Panel driver in VEE, VEE crashes. It seems that the
communication from VEE to the GPIB card is not correct.

Both types of cards have worked  flawlessly. There are some inherent
differences. You can have multiple NI PCMCIA cards, up to 4, although the
most we have installed at one time is 2, running on one machine. Currently,
only one INES PCMCIA card is allowed per machine. So if you are planning on
more than one GPIB bus at a time get NI. The NI cards use the NI VISA and
SICL libraries while INES cards use the Agilent libraries. IOTech uses the
NI libraries, if  I recall correctly. I would surmise that they use a
similar, if not the same, chipset and should be an almost direct
replacement. Also, there are some sites that compare which cards use which
libraries, drivers, etc. I think HTBasic has a comparison.
