  I run VEE on both UNIX and Windows.  I need to change the permissions on a UNIX directory. From UNIX it's easy: chmod 777 dir_name. How does one do it in Windows through VEE? (The UNIX file system is accessed through SAMBA, so it looks like a Windows file system from Windows).

  You COULD use an Execute Program object that calls a batch file that uses
the Attrib command....

所以没有与“777”直接比较，但它会非常接近.ATTRIB [+ R | -R] [+ A | -A] [+ S | -S] [+ H | -H] [[drive：]

The equivalent in DOS is the ATTRIB command.

ACL's don't exist in unix so there's not direct comparison with "777"
but it will be pretty close.

ATTRIB [+R | -R] [+A | -A ] [+S | -S] [+H | -H] [[drive:] [path] filename]
       [/S [/D]]

  +   Sets an attribute.
  -   Clears an attribute.
  R   Read-only file attribute.
  A   Archive file attribute.
  S   System file attribute.
  H   Hidden file attribute.
  /S  Processes matching files in the current folder
      and all subfolders.
  /D  Processes folders as well.
