If the program ran after boot up was complete, there was no problem, so I decided it must be due to the intense process of booting up, therefore I needed a delay before calling the update program. So I wrote a little program that uses .Net "System.threading.thread.sleep(mSec)". I used Visual Basic Express 2008, however I'm sure it could be done in VEE as well. I used 120000 milliseconds (2 Minutes) to give the boot-up process enough time to complete before for calling the update program. Shawn, I think this would be right up your alley. It'd be nice if it could use a command line input to include the path and filename of the program to run, to create multiple startup shortcuts if more than one program needs to be delayed, or a text file containing the programs to start.
