The first item you add to the Panel will automatically create a Panel for that function, or you can right-click on the bar at the top of the Funtion window and select Create Panel and then add items as you need them. Then when you want to use ShowPanel it is simple a function call within a Formula Box. e.g. If you function is named "MyPanel_I_wantDisplayed", then the formula would look like ShowPanel("MyPanel_I_wantDisplayed"). If you want it displayed on a specific part of the screen then ShowPanel("MyPanel_I_wantDisplayed", 10, 20) would place it in the top right hand corner of the screen just in a little fromn the edge and top. ShowPanelonExecute also requires that function to have a Panel "created" within the function and then whenever the function is called the panel automatically is displayed. If you're not sure if you have a Panel within the funtion, right-click on the bar at the top of the Funtion window and if Delete Panel is Greyed out and Create Panel is Black, then you don't have a panel for that function.
