That magnetize the CRT mask. That symptom usually go away after few days of usage of the 8753. I think HP implement some degassing on there CRT that why it usually fix it self after short time. I just hope that the replacement power supply is not the cause of that color shift. In such case you do have bit of the problem. Over the years work with 8753 B/C/D & E's By fare the E was the best of them. HP work out all of the bugs and the screen was LCD that could be split in 4. But that still was nothing compare to PNAs. "a separate S parameter test set", The 8753E also have that in special version. We even had separate 4 port test set from other vendor. The test set was grate but the test program really bad - it did not aloud to set segmented mode only linear. The 4 port test set was good for coupler and transformer measurement - specially getting out 4-port parameters for s4p files.
