For debugging hardware/signal related issues, your point about the 4000x makes quite sense. But for software related debugging, the amount of memory might become a limiting factor. I know, decisions, decisions ... Kevin, when I inquired with the local Agilent dealer to get a quote for both the 4000x and the 9000x, the did honor the "next higher bandwidth free" special offer for the 4000x. But they did NOT honor the "free 500Mpts option and one free software option" special offer. According to the Agilent website, this is a worldwide offer.
