When I first purchased an N432A I had the same concern as the operating manual clearly states to both use the calibration factor for the mount during measurement and again during the calculations. I contacted Agilent for guidance but did not get a satisfactory answer, they were not sure either and I never heard back from their "deep support". After several measurements with the N432A and the older 432A I came to the conclusion the calibration factor should be used in one place, not both. I follow the same method as the 432A used which is to leave the calibration factor at 100% at the meter and in turn use the actual calibration factor for the mount in the math exercise. |
