The 41st annual GOMAC Tech conference is in full swing.  Each year hundreds of government and industry professionals attend this conference to discuss what was, what is and what’s next for government electronics. Moore’s Law: 50 years later
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Moore’s Law, this year’s theme is appropriately titled: “More than Moore and Beyond”.  Named after Gordon E. Moore, co-founder of Intel and Fairchild Semiconductor, his 1965 observation predicted that the number of transistors in an integrated circuit would double approximately every two years. For decades the industry expected to see Moore’s law run out of steam, only to be awed by another significant technological breakthrough.  Scientists and engineers are steadfast at devising new methods to design and manufacture advanced semiconductor devices with more computing power than ever. GOMAC Tech provides a forum to converse about the current and future outlook of the microelectronics industry. Radiation Hardened by Design, Counterfeit Detection and Advanced Packaging and Materials are just a few of the topics to be covered during this year’s show.
