                                                                            I have noticed recently that there are an increasing number of AVR related threads being created in various forums, e.g. the Communications forum).
I think it is great that this is occurring but I'm concerned that new users might be directed to these forums with AVR-type questions, search existing posts for answers (shock horror - but it might happen!!!) and get totally confusing and incorrect information because everything so far has been directed towards the PIC MCUs and the information may or may not be relevant.
Worse still, inappropriate advice might be given to new questions where the architecture has not been made clear enough.
As the forums are already grouped together in various ways, I was thinking that it might be a good suggestion to the forum moderators that they create an AVR group (or groups) and create within that appropriate forums. They can then do the same with the PIC forums (any structure would probably be better than the sometimes incomprehensible one that there is now).
Just putting this up for discussion - and for bringing forward better ideas. Then at some stage this can be passed on to Microchip as a suggestion.
