Hello,

I have an urgent project I need to deliver and I need the forum members and microchip Assitance to solve the misconnection issue between Picit3 and pic12f1572. As the pickit 3 doesn't recognize/ identify this model. I searched the web and didn't found any practical solution for this issue Only MPLAB solutions which are not relevant because this is how we build this sw project and didn't know we will not be able to connect directly via PICKIT3 PROGRAMMER BUR152974148!

The PICIT3 works Great with other pic's like 16f583 and other models but when I connect the 1572 it doesn't even detect it - I tried by manual search and switched all families and I don't know how to solve this issue - I think Microchip team have the solution but didn't saw it on the web.

This is not the best place to get help from microchip.
You did not clearly state your problem so I doubt you will get much help from users.
Your "solution" is un clear.
A pickit3 and MPLabX will talk to that PIC

So you are using a pickit3 without MPLab?
How?
What version of firmware is on it? How did it get there? Is it new enough to know how to talk to the newer chip?

Thank you for your reply.

I use the pickit3 as a STAND ALONE PROGRAMMER, the pickit3 version is BUR152974148, meaning, I upload the code to the application and burn it to the ic. this way of programming burn 16f1933 and other pic's. the problem it doesn't detect the 12f1572 because the picit3 version is not updated and I tried to find in the web for a few days and couldn't find so I need an updated version of the pickit 3 that can detect the 1572.

As to MPLAB - I use CCS C Compiler And Use only the PICIT3 to import hex file on the pic mcu's.

Please advice where can I find a solution if this not the right Forum/place? as I am not oftenly familiar with this forum.
