Hi Brian,
 
The answer is no, a device locked license is not locked to that specific serial number. That just means it is locked to that device model. The only restriction in the classroom would be to that same model and a single desktop that the node locked license is being hosted on. If you wish to use different desktops, your license is allowed up to 3 re-hosts if you wish to move machines.
