  What sort of metal and at what sample speed would you like to see it?  We are working on some new stuff that will come out in a few months.  The CY8CKIT-048 as Bob mentioned has a basic inductive sensing circuit.  All I can say is the capability to do this even better is coming soon.  So let us know what you'd like to see.  -J
